Hazelnut
A smooth, nutty classic that instantly upgrades your coffee. Simple, familiar, and one of the easiest ways to recreate that coffeehouse flavor at home.
Ingredients
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon hazelnut extract
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Tiny pinch of salt
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream and sugar.
Warm over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is fully dissolved. (Do not boil.)
Remove from heat.
Stir in hazelnut extract, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.
Let cool, then pour into a bottle or jar.
Shake before using.
Tips
Start light on hazelnut—you can always add more.
Vanilla helps round out the flavor—don’t skip it.
Give it a shake before each use.
Creamsmiths Notes
This is where things start to feel legit. You’re recreating a coffeehouse staple with just a few ingredients.
Once you’ve got this down, try:
Mixing with caramel for a richer, dessert-style flavor
Adding a touch more vanilla for a softer, sweeter profile
Blending with cinnamon for a warm, nutty spice combo
If cinnamon vanilla was your “first success,” this is your “ok…now I’m actually good at this” moment.
