Bananas Foster

A rich, buttery bananas foster coffee creamer with sweet banana, caramelized brown sugar, warm vanilla-rum notes, and a cozy hint of cinnamon. Smooth, creamy, and made for turning a regular cup of coffee into dessert-in-a-mug territory.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon banana extract

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons butterscotch extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon butter extract

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon rum extract

  • Pinch of cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the base — Warm the heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat and stir in the dark brown sugar until dissolved.

  2. Remove from heat — Take the pan off the heat.

  3. Add flavor — Stir in the banana extract, butterscotch extract, butter extract, vanilla extract, rum extract, cinnamon, and salt.

  4. Whisk smooth — Whisk until fully smooth and blended.

  5. Cool & bottle — Let cool, then pour into a glass bottle or jar. Refrigerate before using.

Tips

  • Do not boil the cream.

  • Whisk well for a smooth finish.

  • Shake before serving if needed.

  • A little banana extract goes a long way, so measure carefully unless you want full banana cannon.

Creamsmiths Notes
This creamer leans sweet, creamy, and dessert-like, with banana up front, buttery caramelized sugar in the middle, and warm vanilla-rum notes on the finish. The cinnamon and salt help keep it from tasting flat and give it that bananas foster vibe without needing to set anything on fire, which is probably best before coffee.

Coffee pairing: Medium roast coffee works especially well because it keeps the flavor smooth and balanced without overpowering the banana and caramel notes.
